Apple Confirms iPhone 3.0 Release Update Today

Apple Confirms that the release date for the new iPhone 3.0 operating system will be 17th June. Until right now it seems that release was not done yet. Was it really today?

The new update will be available to download and will be free to all iPhone users, however as revealed a while back, it will cost £5.99 in the UK and $9.99 in the US for iPod Touch users, controversial don’t you think?

This new update which all iPhone users cannot wait for was first rumored in March, and it will bring some key improvements with it that will make the iPhone on the same level in processing terms as various other phones from Palm and Blackberry.

According to reports by Pocket-lint report that not all the updates will be available to all users in all countries. AT&T announced that they will not be offering the MMS messaging service in the US until later in the summer, probably angering customers in the US. Also, only 22 of the 42 operators currently offering the Apple handset will be offering the tethering service.
